has got to be one of the coolest commercials ever. Not sure how it will work if you have a dial up connection, though. You've probably all seen it, and I'm behind the times, as usual. Oh, well, if not, enjoy! More info about this ad can be found here
. I can't believe there's no trick photography. It's like that game we played as kids . . .

Later this afternoon, we're going to pick out the cabinets and such. Tomorrow morning, we're going to pick out all the flooring. We've pretty much decided to upgrade as much as we can afford, since we'll be in this house for a while - now's the time to get the good stuff. But ouch - I bet the flooring will be expensive. We want (I want?) wood or laminate in the living room, dining room, kitchen, and in the upstairs hall. I'd love to have the whole place done in wood flooring, but I know that would be pretty steep. I also need to figure out how I'm going to furnish this place! I know that one of the downstairs bedrooms is going to be my studio, and one of them will be "Mark's room". The other will be a guest room, since there's a full bath down there. We don't have too many guests, mostly Carol, and she's not picky. But it would be a little quieter. We're thinking about screening in the bottom deck, to have a bug free zone. That would be nice - I hate mosquitos.
Decisions, decisions. This flooring thing has me worried - it's a lot of pressure to make good decisions rapidly. We won't be replacing the flooring for a long time, we hope, so we'll have to live with these choices for some time. Eeek. Now I'm making myself nervous about it all. I'll quit thinking about it and take one step at a time. I will also furnish it a little bit at a time, to avoid giving Mark a heart attack. Now, aren't I nice???

I'm also slightly depressed - Gregory Peck
died last night. I've always liked him, probably because "To Kill A Mockingbird" was one of my favorite books, and movies. Usually if I love a book, I hate the movie, but that was a great one.
is cool. Go there. Now
And we found a great house - we're closing on our current house on July 31st, and our new house on August 1st! The house is in the process of being built, so we'll get to pick out the flooring, cabinets, lights, etc. And there are woods and a creek in the back yard, rather than having to look at the back of a neighbor's house. Just past the trees, and just off our property, is a small (neighborhood association maintained) lake with ducks, and L just loves to see and feed ducks. It's about 3 minutes from my office, and about 5 minutes from Mark's. It's on a cul-de-sac in a very family oriented neighborhood with tons of kids around, but it's quiet and private in the back. And across the road from the subdivision are the elementary school, middle school, and high school that L will attend if we stay there that long. We're hoping to stay there for 10 to 15 years, and I think we'll be able to do that. Yay! I'm starting to feel like we won't be living out of boxes forever and ever. Now I'm excited to go over there all the time and bug the builder and the workers. The builder is a nice guy, too, and is making some changes that we requested.

The posting drought continues, and probably will for a while.
In brief news, our house is sold! In less than 48 hours on the market. So we don't have to keep the joint quite
as spotless, and are spending mucho time househunting in Frankfort. We have a couple of houses that are possibilities, but not the right house yet, I don't think.
We'll be moving at the end of July/first of August. Send good househunting wishes our way! I'd like to feel settled again, and not living out of boxes.
Oh, and this
is rather addictive.
