. Ask your doctor for a reason to take it.

Sam actually slept through the night last night! I can't believe it. I put him down around 8:30, and we woke him up a little after 7:00 this morning. Of course, we had that moment of panic when we realized he hadn't peeped all night, but he was fine. I don't know what to do with all this energy, kwim?

Just testing the Performancing extension for Firefox. Never mind me.
Note to self
You know, I've been meaning to download the beta version of Flock
, a new browser. Now, I'm pretty loyal to Firefox
(or really, in all honesty, it's more about DIE, Internet Explorer, DIE
!!!!!), and I like to stay current with the trends and all, plus I've heard nice things about Flock. They seem to be developing a browser that integrates a lot of the functionality I like, such as blogging, flickr, and del.icio.us. Now with this blog post
, I think it's become a definite priority . . .

I'm being bitched at by my office roomie. Boo hoo, sniff, sniff. He says I don't spend enough time on my blog.
Excuse me, I'm working over here!!!
Anyway, just a quick note to say that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, the kids are great, happy holidays, blessed kwanzaa, happy hanukkah, merry christmas, and have a wonderful winter solstice celebration, or what have you.
Also, some people have WAY
too much time on their hands!
Fun little game

Fair warning - this
is a tad bit addictive. What's your best score?
How fun, if you're a political junkie

Well, that sucks
Wednesday, December 14, 2005
Today was my first day back at work, which isn't the part that sucks. That was fine. The part that sucks is that when I got home after picking Lauren up at school, Jet had died. She was the cat who had diabetes, and had been ill.
I am sad.
Bwah hah hah

OK, totally NOT worksafe language, but this
is hilarious. If I wanted to start a huge fight, there are a couple of people I could send this to. But I won't.
And this video clip
is a riot.
Sam has his 2 month checkup this afternoon. Eek, he gets shots! Wish us luck . . .
Lauren is doing well, but had a major fit of the screaming meemies last night for a couple of hours - for unknown reasons. She had been napping - night terror, maybe. Then it stopped. Just like turning off a light switch, and she was her usual happy self. Weird kid.
I go back to work tomorrow. I'm half excited and half sad. Mark is home now for 4 weeks with Sam, so at least I know that he'll be well cared for, and that will be a weight off my mind.
is a cool site, I think.

So, that sleeping thing?
He's still up anywhere from 1 to 4 times per night. Most nights it's just once or twice, though, so it's still doable. I do wish he'd sleep longer stretches. Now, Mark will be home with him and on paper at least, I should be able to sleep at night. However, I'll probably still wake up because (although I generally sleep like the dead) with a newborn in the house, I tend to sleep more lightly. Go figger.
Hee hee hee

Go read this post at Tequila Mockingbird
. Prepare to laugh.
I'd strongly advise against drinking or eating anything at all while you're reading, unless you just like
cleaning your keyboard and monitor.
Ahhh, sleep . . .

Sleep is a very good thing. The boy was downstairs with his daddy last evening; I went on to bed. He went to sleep about 10:00, according to Mark. He woke me up at 2:00, nursed, and was back asleep within 15 minutes. He got up again at around 6:45, and then went back to sleep about 7:45.
I feel so rested I don't know what to do with myself!
I think Sam and Mark have it all worked out, though. I go back to work next Wednesday, and now
he's starting to sleep more at night. How'd that work out??? I've spent the last 8 weeks getting up every 2 or 3 hours at night with him. Through the week, at least; Mark gets up with him on the weekends so I can catch up a bit. But once I go back to work, Mark will be staying home with him for 4 weeks, and we'll switch that schedule around so that he's getting up with him through the week. Maybe - if he continues like he did last night, Mark may get lots of sleep. They're conspiring against me, I tell you!
Just kidding. It could have been just last night, or it could be the start of a trend. Let's all hope for the latter!

. Found it on Political Animal
Sam at peace
By the way, I hab a cohd.
Sam is fine so far, no sign of him catching it. Of course, he'll get antibodies from nursing, so hopefully he'll stay well.
OK, most of you won't care about this at all, but I checked this DVD
out of the library, and it really works. Sam is not crying, and is comfortably sleeping in his crib at the moment. He's actually crying a bit less lately, but he was on a major fussy streak this morning, and now he's just . . . not.
May this continue.
